BILINGUAL = TRANSLATOR / INTERPRETER?!
I don't believe that bilingual/multilingual people = Translator or Interpreter
Yes, I do speak several different languages, but that doesn' mean
that I want to use that skill for translation or interpretation.
Does people respect me just because I can fullfill their needs
as a translator?
Sitting in between the foreign client and boss, see their faces, looking if my
translation is making "THEM" happy or satisfied.
For those who are doing translation or interpreter as a proffessional
these each experience will lead them to their career, but I am not
pro nor trying to become pro.
Some people might think this position as a traslator
is actually a great chance for the bigger future business or connection.
Indeed, for those who can only speak one language would not even have the
chance to join those important meetings.
However, I want to use my language skill for my business use and
not to sit in between people and translate words, phrases and tensions.
Have a great weekend y'all!
